Living with An Attitude of Gratitude

Updated: Mar 15

Rev. AndreaGrace worked for a few years at Lexington Christian Academy. Within the culture, there was an “attitude of gratitude” that really touched her. She began praying for a grateful heart and cultivating that practice. If you’ve spent time with her, you know that her prayers have been answered!

Many of the world religions cultivate gratitude. Today, research has shown so many positive benefits of gratitude including improving sleep, mood and immunity. Gratitude can also lead to decreasing depression, anxiety and chronic pain.

Rev. Theresa Crisci is one of Rev. AndreaGrace’s closest companions. Theresa invited AndreaGrace to a Thankful Thursday service with a “rampage of appreciation” where people speak aloud what their grateful for nonstop for 3-5 minutes. It’s amazing to proclaim such gratitude and amazing to witness such gratitude by others.

They collaborated with one of AndreaGrace’s other companions, Kristina, to lead an Interfaith service on Thanksgiving. Every day is a great day to express gratitude. Use the service to help cultivate and expand an attitude of gratitude!

Creator, Great Spirt and Bakerwoman God link – thank you for the gift of life and love! Please grant us grateful hearts and help us cultivate an attitude of gratitude. Amen. Ameen. Ashay. Aho and So it is.
