Labor Day Joyful Gratitude

This long weekend, I am thanking God for the ability “to labor” – to work – to minister as a Catholic priest - and for all of the amazing people with whom I labor - which includes YOU!

Catholic Ordinations This Weekend

Like many Americans, I AM gathered with friends this weekend. I am blessed to be in San Francisco for the ordination of two companion priests. Rev. Cathy had a wonderful celebration yesterday with 140 members of her circle of love – people who know that she is formalizing her lifelong commitment to God. Today, I’ll be attending a private ordination, because if word spreads, this woman could lose her job and livelihood.

The Spirit is answering Catholic prayers for more vocations to the priesthood. Women, LGBTQ+ and married people are courageously and joyfully coming forward. Rev. Rosemary was ordained two years ago and has co-founded the Mary of Pentecost Catholic Community in San Francisco. Rev. Cathy and the other priest are part of this community.

The BeLoved Community’s Mass – Sept. 8

My latest labor of love with The BeLoved Community will gather next Sunday, Sept. 8 for Mass at 5 PM ET in Metrowest Boston and on zoom. It’s Grandparent’s Day – and I’m thrilled to be co-creating and co-leading Mass with my Mom, a grandparent of 12! Please Come! If you know you’ll be joining us, sign-up so that we may plan accordingly. A light supper will be offered after.

This year The BeLoved Community will meet every Sunday at 5 PM ET for prayer on zoom. The first Sunday of the Month, we will also meet in person for Mass.

If you are seeking...

a spiritual path to a Loving God

a spiritual community that is inclusive and empowering

a Catholic community that celebrates the sacraments with joy

a spiritual home were you will experience belonging and where you can share your gifts

Come! Connect with our BeLoved God! Experience being loved in a new way!
